    Moroccan Thobes

Explore our unique range of hand-crafted Moroccan Thobes, made with the finest European Linen and cotton.

Thobes (or dishdashas/kanduras) are made from a variety of fabrics, depending on the climate, occasion, and personal preference. Common fabrics include:

    1. Cotton – Popular for everyday wear, especially in hot climates due to its breathability and comfort.
    2. Linen – Lightweight and breathable, but wrinkles easily. Ideal for summer.
    3. Polyester Blends – A mix of polyester and cotton for durability, wrinkle resistance, and easy maintenance.
    4. Wool – Heavier and warmer, used in colder climates or winter months.
    5. Bamboo Fabric – A modern, eco-friendly option that is soft, breathable, and moisture-wicking.

Caring for your thobe properly will keep it looking fresh and lasting longer. Here are some key care tips based on fabric type:

General Care Tips for All Thobes:

    • Read the Care Label – Always check the tag for specific washing instructions.
    • Avoid Harsh Detergents – Use mild detergents to prevent fabric damage.
    • Turn Inside Out Before Washing – Protects the outer fabric from wear and fading.
    • Wash Similar Colors Together – Prevents color transfer.
    • Use a Gentle Cycle – Helps maintain the fabric's quality.
    • Air Dry When Possible – Prevents shrinkage and maintains shape.
    • Iron Properly – Use the right temperature setting based on the fabric.

    Fabric-Specific Care:

    • Cotton & Linen – Wash in cool or warm water to prevent shrinkage. Iron while slightly damp to avoid wrinkles.
    • Polyester Blends – Machine wash on a gentle cycle; doesn’t need heavy ironing.
    • Silk – Hand wash in cold water or dry clean to maintain shine.
    • Wool – Dry clean or wash with cold water and mild detergent, then lay flat to dry.

Our Thobes are already tailor made in different lengths from length 52 inches to 62 inches.

Each length will come in different sizes from Medium to XXX-Large. This means that we have sizes from someone really petite to a plus size.

We do offer additional tailoring at our London flagship store if required. This option is also online for Thobes that are limited in sizes.

The difference between traditional and designer thobes comes down to styling, materials, and purpose. Here's a breakdown:

    Traditional Thobes

Simple & Modest Design – Loose-fitting with minimal embellishments.
Classic Cuts – Usually straight-cut with standard collars or no collars.
Standard Fabrics – Mostly cotton, linen, or polyester blends for everyday wear.
Cultural Variations – Styles differ by region (e.g., Emirati kandura, Saudi thobe, Omani dishdasha).
Affordable & Practical – Made for daily wear, prayers, and cultural events.

    Designer Thobes

Modern & Stylish Cuts – Slim-fit or tailored designs for a sharp look.
Premium Fabrics – Includes silk, high-thread-count cotton, or luxury blends.
Unique Details – Features embroidery, contrast stitching, custom buttons, and high-end finishes.
Brand Influence – Often made by fashion designers or luxury brands.
Special Occasions – Worn at formal events, weddings, or high-profile gatherings.
